Primary source research for history students. Historia searches the public APIs of the Library of Congress, Chronicling America, the US National Archives, the Smithsonian, DPLA, the Internet Archive, the UK National Archives, Gallica, the Wellcome Collection, the Met, the Art Institute of Chicago, Old Bailey Online, OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar and DOAJ and returns real catalogue records — titles, authors, dates, repositories and links copied from what the archive returned.
A language model plans the search and ranks what came back. It is never the source of a record. Quotes are shown only where they have been matched against the archive's own text.
Historia will not write a paper. Requests to write an essay, a thesis or a paragraph of argument are refused on the server, before any model runs.
